We have a family of franchisees around the UK. Let me introduce some of them to you.
Bedford - Jane Wakelam and Lisa Cicco
Jane and Lisa have been running Musical Minis sessions in and around Bedford since 2002.
They both have two children who have grown up enjoying Musical Minis sessions and are still singing the songs now! Over the years they have seen many children grow, develop and flourish into confident, social children, enhancing their professional fulfilment.
Their sessions are relaxed, fun and lively and a great way to interact with your child and meet new Mums.
Amanda has recently taken over the Buckingham area. She began attending Musical Minis classes with her daughter when she was only eight weeks old and was amazed at the developmental benefits at such an early age. She only has to sing the introduction name song from the beginning of class to see the enjoyment and benefits her daughter has gained from Musical Minis!
Amanda knows from first hand experience that it’s not just fun for the children, It’s also a great social opportunity for parents and carers to meet others alike and make good friends in your local area.
Jacquie has been running Musical Minis since 2005 although Musical Minis has been operating in and around Durham since 1999. Formerly a nursery nurse, she absolutely loves her job - so many parents tell her this comes across loud and clear during her sessions.
Together with her mum Hilary she runs classes across County Durham with a holistic approach to child development, socialisation, and most importantly 'lorry loads of fun!'
East Midlands West - Michelle Reeson
Michelle has been running the East Midlands-West franchise since September 2008. She used to work in a bank and taught piano in her spare time.
Michelle started Musical MInis when she had a baby and wanted to find work which allowed her to include the baby and not leave the baby with childminders. Musical Minis allowed her to do this as well as continuing to teach the piano. The bonus has been that her daughter has really benefited from doing the sessions. Also because the sessions are quite energetic she is delighted at having been able to get her figure back whilst making new friends in the process.
What impresses Michelle most about Musical Minis is that the emphasis is on child development without compromising any of the fun.
Liz has been running Musical Minis in local halls and nurseries throughout Glasgow South & Ayrshire since April 2005. She has three grown up children and two grandchildren who have both benefited greatly from Musical Minis.
Liz runs classes with the help of her daughter Claire, who is also Regional Manager for Scotland. Liz believes Musical Minis has something for everyone; instruments, action songs and her favourite, the hoky coky. The classes have a mix of ages from birth - pre-school. Her main aim is to ensure everyone has FUN!
Cathie has been running the Merseyside franchise since 2001.
Cathie was first introduced to Musical Minis when she attended classes in Liverpool with her twin daughters. Seeing how much it helped them with their development encouraged her to become a franchisee and Cathie says that she really hasn't looked back.
Cathie says "it still gives me a thrill to see how positively the children respond and how much fun they have at the sessions. More importantly, it isn't just for them! With all the activity its a chance for the mums or carers to do some exercise and provides an opportunity to make friends."
Debbie runs Musical Minis classes in the Newcastle & Northumberland area. She is a mum to 2 wonderful children, both of whom are experienced Musical Minis.
Debbie believes that Musical Minis gave her children the opportunity to enjoy music through singing and playing instruments as well as gaining vital social skills. Week by week she watched their confidence grow and observe skills learned directly from attending the classes in Durham.
Debbie discovered there were no classes in the Newcastle area and decided this would be the perfect opportunity for her, and in January 2009 she began running her own classes.
Debbie says, "I have always loved music playing keyboard & violin as a child and attending ballet, tap & stage dancing classes for over 20 years....although I won't be performing at any of my classes!!"
Leena started running sessions in April 2009 and says she is enjoying every minute of it. The franchise has been running since May 2000 although Leena attended Musical Minis in Buckingham before taking the Oxford franchise.
Leena is married with 2 daughters. Her eldest daughter loved Musical Minis and her youngest daughter is still enjoying classes and really benefiting from the Musical Minis programmes.
Leena believes that if you are looking for a relaxed music group, but one that offers structure, lots of fun and is stimulating for your little ones then Musical Minis is definitely the right place.
Leena gives each child her attention and helps them progress in their development, ensuring that both the carer and the child have 45 minutes of fun with action songs, puppets, story time and instruments.
Janie has been running her Musical Minis business in and around the South Lincolnshire area since the summer of 2003. She has two sons, both of whom are now attending upper school.
Janie's previous career as a financial advisor didn’t hold any appeal for her, but Musical Minis with its fun relaxed approach seemed an obvious choice for her as a mother of 2 small boys. Janie enjoys seeing the children having fun and learning new things over the weeks. She believes it’s a great way to meet like minded people, make new friends and to spend quality time with their children whilst having a good time! Janie only wishes she had known about Minis when her first born was a baby.
Jo says "Hello, S’mae" to all those local to her.
Jo has been running Musical Minis in South Wales since 2003.
Jo is so pleased that both of her children have loved coming to Musical Minis and joining in with all the fun. Even her Husband has been known to come along and bang a drum or two!
Bye for now. Hwyl Fawr.
Chrissie is married with two children. Her youngest is a familier face in the classes and really enjoys attending the sessions with her mum Anne, who is also her assisitant.
Chrissie believes that if your aim is to have FUN whilst educating your children then she would love for you to come and join in!
