RECENTLY I was sent a box of Lotus tissues with Olbas to review. I know tissues are something which all Mums quickly learn not to leave the house without.
These are portrayed as a new brand of family tissues which combine the luxurious softness of Lotus tissues with the breathe-easy family favourite Olbas. They are embedded with oil capsules, that when crushed release natural soothing vapours.
Lotus Olbas Facial Tissues are implanted using ground-breaking crush technology. The mixture of natural vapours including menthol, eucalyptus, juniper berries and cajuput are only released when the tissue is crushed.
The arrival of the box of tissues was very timely as my daughter developed a cold the next day! The tissues are soft but you sometimes forget to crush them to release the vapours.
Originally available in a pocket pack they now also come in the larger tissue box - meaning that you can always have a stash of these tissues on hand at home – or in the office - as well as on the go.
I think we would have found the pocket sized packs more useful than the box. When not in use the box still has an Olbas smell so we wanted to make sure the box was hidden. Also when using the tissues at mealtimes the smell wasn't that great for everyone else!
I would recommend the tissues for anyone with a cold. However, there are some negative aspects to the tissues too. You have to remember to crush them to release the vapours, the tissues do have a strong smell that isn't great for people not using them and you can't use them as you would other tissues e.g. for wiping tears.
Lotus Olbas Facial Tissues are available at Boots and Sainsbury’s at £2.29. Lotus Olbas Tissues are also available in pocket-sized single packs retailing at 59p and £1.53 for a six pack in Boots and other major retailers.
Ah they should Karvol tissues for little ones! These may be too strong for Niamh
