THE What’s On 4 Little Ones Awards recognise the best activities and party entertainment for children across the UK, so Musical Minis is delighted to have received a triple nomination in the 2010 awards.
Musical Minis has been nominated for three categories:
- Best National Baby and Toddler Development Activity (newborn to 2 years),
- Best National Pre-Schooler Development Activity (2 to 5 years). and
- Four franchisees have been put forward for Most Outstanding Activity Leader for the Under 5s. They are Debbie Caygill - Newcastle, Liz Rowe - Ayrshire, Leena Thakker - Oxford and Jo Weaving - South Wales.
I started Musical Minis over 20 years ago to fulfil a demand for music to be brought to pre-school children (from birth) so that they could enjoy and participate in music at an early stage of their development. Each structured session encourages cognitive, physical and emotional development through the use of music, instruments and stories. As a psychologist, former play specialist at Great Ormond Street Hospital and a mother of three. I am so proud that Musical Minis is being recognised for its contribution to child development; we have worked so hard over the years to shape future generations and it is wonderful that we are being rewarded for it.
The 2010 awards ceremony will take place at the Baby Expo in Brighton on 27th June 2010 and will be hosted by Phil Gallagher from CBEEBIES Mister Maker!
I would like to thank everyone who nominated Musical Minis to enable us to get through to the Finals. I would be really grateful if you could vote for us again - it's the last time I promise! From now until the end of April 2010, you can log onto http://www.whatson4littleones.co.uk/awards.asp to vote for Musical Minis.
