Musical Minis Summer Events In Oxfordshire

Don’t miss the fun as Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam tour Oxfordshire this Summer.

It is that time again to come and join in with the fun as Musical Minis Oxfordshire prepares for its ever popular summer parties with music, movement, bubbles, parachute and lots more including special appearances from 2 favourite iconic characters.

This year come and jump in muddy puddles with Peppa Pig and do some marching with Fireman Sam!

Bring your own picnic and come rain or shine the characters will be available to meet and greet the children.

Thursday 1 August – CALVERT GREEN (BUCKS)

Saturday 3 August – BICESTER

Sunday 4 August – WOODSTOCK

Monday 5 August – ARNCOTT (NR BICESTER)

All events are from 10.15am – 12.30pm and MUST be PRE- BOOKED.

£6.50 per child. Siblings under 6 months FREE.

St David's Day 2013 At Musical Minis

Musical Minis South Wales recently celebrated St David’s Day, in style, with a week of celebratory classes.

Many children attended the classes dressed in traditional Welsh costume, rugby shirts or traditional Welsh colours (red and green). The Friday class in Sully fell on 1st March and the whole class dressed for the occasion. It was great to see so many grown ups dressed for the occasion as well.

We started our classes by singing a version of our name song in Welsh – ‘Bore-dah (Good morning) or Prynhawn da (Good afternoon) followed by the child’s name, then, Sut wyt ti. (How are you?)

Out of our story bag came a little Welsh Dragon who lives up in the Welsh mountains. He had a little tickle up his nose and he just couldn’t stop sneezing. He is a very friendly dragon who loved meeting all the children and received lots of kisses and cuddles.

During the nursery rhyme section of our session we sang ‘5 Welsh cakes in a bakers shop ... ...’ At the end of the class each child was given, (and definitely enjoyed eating) a tasty Welsh treat – a Welsh Cake.

New Classes In South Wales

Musical Minis South Wales is very excited to announce that they have 4 new classes opening after half term. Places can be booked from immediate effect by emailing jo@musicalminis.co.uk

The new classes are:
Mondays - in Barry - 11.00 - 11.45am,
Tuesdays - in Bridgend - 10.30 - 11.15am
Wednesdays - in Penarth - 9.45 - 10.30am & 10.45 - 11.30am

These are in addition to the classes already run in Barry, Pontyclun and Sully.

Classes are also run in Nurseries and Children's Centres in the area.

Seasonal Versus Religious Sessions

Every year schools and nurseries around the UK debate whether to do traditional religious nativity plays or whether to do events unconnected with Christmas.

At Musical Minis we feel that as we live in the UK, where December is geared up to celebrating Christmas we should support the season although not in a religious way. We have chosen to have Christmas sessions which do capture the excitement and atmosphere of Christmas. However, we do not include any religious songs or carols. A number of religions celebrate festivals in December but none of these religions have songs included in the Musical Minis sessions either.

Musical Minis aim is to include all religions, races and cultures in all our sessions, including our Christmas session. We would not wish to offend anyone by imposing religious celebrations. We do live in a multi faith and a multi cultural society but December in the UK is geared to Christmas. We celebrate the season with songs like 'Jingle Bells' and 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' which are seasonal but non religious.

We hope that we have found the ideal balance which allows everyone to join in the fun whatever their religious beliefs. To find your local Musical Minis class please click here.
